TC’S NATIVE PLANT OF THE MONTH:

Vernonia fasciculata (Zone 3)

Vernonia fasciculata is also referred to as Bunched ironweed. They are found mainly in the southern half of Minnesota. They will make a great addition to the back of perennial borders or in a prairie garden. These plants do well in moist soil, but once established they will do well in most soils, as long as it isn’t stressed by drought.
